Change ONS Listening Ports

1. Check current listening port

[oracle@SGRAC1 asm]$ $CRS_HOME/bin/onsctl ping
Number of onsconfiguration retrieved, numcfg = 2
onscfg[0]
{node = SGRAC1, port = 6251}
Setting remote port from OCR repository to 6251
Adding remote host SGRAC1:6251
onscfg[1]
{node = SGRAC2, port = 6251}
Adding remote host SGRAC2:6251
ons is running …

2. Stop ons daemons

[oracle@SGRAC1 asm]$  $CRS_HOME/bin/onsctl stop
onsctl: shutting down ons daemon …
Number of onsconfiguration retrieved, numcfg = 2
onscfg[0]
{node = SGRAC1, port = 6251}
Setting remote port from OCR repository to 6251
Adding remote host SGRAC1:6251
onscfg[1]
{node = SGRAC2, port = 6251}
Adding remote host SGRAC2:6251

3. Check ONS status

[oracle@SGRAC1 asm]$  $CRS_HOME/bin/onsctl ping
Number of onsconfiguration retrieved, numcfg = 2
onscfg[0]
{node = SGRAC1, port = 6251}
Setting remote port from OCR repository to 6251
Adding remote host SGRAC1:6251
onscfg[1]
{node = SGRAC2, port = 6251}
Adding remote host SGRAC2:6251
ons is not running …

4. Remove the ONS configuration with root account

[oracle@SGRAC1 asm]$ racgons remove_config SGRAC1:6251
racgons: Existing key value on SGRAC1 = 6251.
racgons: SGRAC1:6251 removed from OCR.
[oracle@SGRAC1 asm]$ racgons remove_config SGRAC2:6251
racgons: Existing key value on SGRAC2 = 6251.
racgons: SGRAC2:6251 removed from OCR.

5. Add the new ONS configuration

[oracle@SGRAC1 asm]$ racgons add_config SGRAC1:6200
[oracle@SGRAC1 asm]$ racgons add_config SGRAC2:6200

6. Start ONS

[oracle@SGRAC1 asm]$ onsctl start
Number of onsconfiguration retrieved, numcfg = 2
onscfg[0]
{node = SGRAC1, port = 6200}
Setting remote port from OCR repository to 6200
Adding remote host SGRAC1:6200
onscfg[1]
{node = SGRAC2, port = 6200}
Adding remote host SGRAC2:6200
Number of onsconfiguration retrieved, numcfg = 2
onscfg[0]
{node = SGRAC1, port = 6200}
Setting remote port from OCR repository to 6200
Adding remote host SGRAC1:6200
onscfg[1]
{node = SGRAC2, port = 6200}
Adding remote host SGRAC2:6200
onsctl: ons started
[oracle@SGRAC1 asm]$

7. Check the listening port

[oracle@SGRAC1 asm]$ netstat -na | grep 6200
tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:6200                0.0.0.0:*                   LISTEN
